You can take Pass Plus up to a year after passing your practical driving test. There is no further test to take. When your instructor is satisfied with your performance you receive a certificate from the Driving Standards Agency.

You can defer the no-claims bonus for two years if you currently drive under someone else's policy. This means that if you buy a car within two years of completing a Pass Plus course, and have not had any claims in the meantime, your first premium will be reduced by the extra one year's no claim bonus.
